Summary:
[Fool's Paradise 1] It is 1586 in England. Princess Elizabeth is walking through the town without an escort. Her father has died suddenly and unexpectedly and she is on the run from Sir Robert, who is trying to force her to marry him. She is on her way to the palace to see her godmother, Queen Elizabeth, to get her help. On her way, she meets a jester named Tarleton. Carefree yet rather cunning, she asks for his help. She cuts off her beautiful golden locks to disguise herself as a young boy and apprentice to the jester. This is the beginning of their travels...and such a turbulent journey it will be... [Fool's Paradise 2] Heading to Hampton Court where the queen resides, Elizabeth has disguised herself as a young boy and continues her journey with the jester, Tarleton. Elizabeth starts to have feelings toward the rough yet kind Tarleton. Can you hear my heart beating, Tarleton? Meanwhile, Tarleton starts having feelings for Elizabeth that he can't hide, as well. However, their statuses are far too different. A princess getting together with a jester is just too absurd. Then Sir Robert finally catches up to them... [Fool's Paradise 3] Lady Elizabeth and the jester, Tarleton, confess their undying love for each other, even if they know that their union will never be accepted. Sir Robert finally catches up with them and there is a scuffle where Elizabeth is deeply wounded. They manage to escape and, despite her wounds, Elizabeth insists they continue on their journey. Both are filled with various emotions when they finally reach Hampton Court. Their meeting with the queen actually leads to even further unexpected consequences. A story of murder, entrapment, death and eternal love finally reaches its conclusion!
