Stories that center around characters with physical and/or mental disabilities. This includes those that are deaf or hard of hearing, blind or seeing-impaired, non-verbal or non-speaking, physically disabled, cognitively disabled, struggling with mental illness, or with chronic illnesses. This list is a work in progress, so any suggestions are welcome.
Notes:
- I try my best to only include works that I've at least skimmed if not read completely.
- Most feature some type of ableism or ableist language, normally as a plot device to critique those things.
- Some may only fit loosely into this category, especially ones about curses or trauma.
- Quality is subjective, I hope you enjoy.
